Kyosuke Himuro featuring Steve Stevens

The One Night Stand ~ Collective Souls

Steve has joined forces with the Japanese artist Kyosuke Himuro on a number of occasions. They have written, recorded & performed many songs together & the tour to support the  Collective Souls album (One Night Stands) was extensive, spectacular & received huge acclaim.

The album offers a variety of styles, ranging from exciting rock to soulful melodies.

Of course most of the lyrics are in Japanese, but Himuro sings with great feeling & it is easy to become embraced in the emotion of the songs, through the music.
He is accompanied by some very fine musicians, not least of course Steve & as always, Steve  delivers a package of exciting, beautiful & passionate playing.

The One Night Stand tour is available on video, highlighting the show at the grand Yokohoma stadium, a colossal stage, complete with major lighting effects & fireworks. If you can get ahold of a copy of this, it makes very entertaining viewing. It includes a lot of footage of Steve, emphasising his awesome solos, stage antics & amazing close ups, particularly throughout 'Dementia' from Steve's Flamenco a Go Go album & indeed it is this recording that is used for the interactive track on Steve's CD.

Mark Shulman who accompanied Billy Idol & Steve during their Summer 2001 tour is on drums & you can just see him in the photo below.

A definite 'must have' for all Steve fans.

Also available as a special Rare Mix Session, is the CD containing 3 very beautiful acoustic songs, including the 'Embrace My Soul' track (title written in Japanese symbols)  A truly wonderful version of a very lovely song, highlighting Steve's incredible versability.
